The tunnel beneath the Kin Coulee dip will be closed this week while lights are installed on the well used but dark passage. The tunnel, beneath the Trans-Canada Highway in the Seven Persons Creek valley, connects Kin Coulee park and the Saamis Archeological Site, and is part of the city’s Heritage Trail network. Work is set to begin on Tuesday morning and be completed on Nov. 29, and contractors will close the tunnel from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day. “The Kin Coulee Tunnel is a valued connector in our city’s Heritage Trail network and this capital project will improve it for all users,” states a release from the city. 5
