By Medicine Hat News on November 21, 2019.

Medicine Hat College is hosting a series of events starting Saturday to celebrate International Education Week.

According to Alberta Education, International Education Week occurs in more than 100 countries the third week of November.

Its purpose is to “give students and educators the opportunity to see the world through an international lens.”

The festivities at MHC kick off with Korea Night in the Student Residence Community Room, hosted by the SA Diversity Club.

India’s culture will be celebrated Monday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Colours in the Crowfoot Room, which includes dinner, music and presentations. Tickets are $12.

There’s an open dialogue and cultural exchange Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the college library, where students will answer questions about diversity that have been collected in boxes around campus throughout November.

Wellness Wednesday, which occurs weekly throughout the semester, is Nov. 27 in the cafeteria hallway from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Students and staff will have the opportunity to share what mental health means to them.

And from Monday to Friday there will be a Refugee Canada interactive raft display in Centennial Hall.
