A Medicine Hat Man has been arrested in central Alberta after a woman he was travelling with ran into a gas station and hid beneath the counter. Mounties from the Ponoka detachment attended the scene on Oct. 30 and took Tyler John Figley, 35, into custody after they discovered the truck he was driving to be stolen and that he was in breach of a 24-hour curfew related to other charges. Mounties state in a release that allegations that the women was being held against her will were unsubstantiated and the pair appeared to be travelling together across central Alberta. Figley is charged with four counts of breaking court recognizance conditions, possession of a knife for a dangerous purpose, possessing break-in tools and stealing the truck from the Medicine Hat area. He is scheduled to appear in Ponoka Provincial Court on Nov. 5. 6
