Chamber of Commerce hands out annual Business Awards

The Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce held its annual Business Awards ceremony Friday evening at the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede. There were a total of 97 nominations in 14 categories – roughly 500 people took in the ceremony. The Award of Excellence is the big prize every year, with the Medicine Hat Brewing Company bringing it home. The brewery also won the Small Business of the Year award and the Marketing award. Hiebert Cabinets and Fine Woodworking won the Business Ethics award and the Customer Service award. The Community Attraction Award went to 670 Collective Mountain Bike Club. CHAT 94.5 won the Community Involvement award. Big Marble Farms brought home the Diversity award. QinetiQ Target Systems won the Global Growth, Leading Edge, Mentorship and Large Business of the Year awards. LimeLitz Dance Academy was able to secure the Young Entrepreneur trophy. Kollektiv Cycle won New Business of the Year. Franchise Business of the Year went to Pet Valu and Groomingdales Medicine Hat. 12-11
