The Palliser Triangle Health Advisory Council will meet Monday in Brooks and the public is welcome to attend. The meeting takes place in the Brooks Health Centre, 440 Third Street SE, from noon to 3 p.m. The program will include an update on health services from Alberta Health Services south zone leadership and a presentation about an organizational review. The Brooks & District Seniors Outreach Society, Brooks & District Health Foundation and the PTSD & Newcomers Research Project Team will also do presentations. There will be an opportunity for the public to address council at approximately 12:10 p.m. “Health Advisory Councils play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging members of their communities throughout Alberta in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner. Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Working in partnership with AHS is an important way to ensure that services are more responsive to the needs of those who use them,” according to a press release. 6
