The city says sanitary sewer repairs on Sixth Avenue SE near the transit parkade downtown will start on Monday . This road will be closed between Third Street and Fourth Street for about five days and there will be detours in effect. Area businesses will remain open and continue to have access to their properties. Sidewalks will also be open. Full water and sewer services will remain operational throughout the duration of construction. In the interests of traffic and pedestrian safety, there will be a perimeter fence around the construction work. The public is asked to follow all traffic signs and detours related to the ongoing construction. The estimated time for the work to be completed depends on the weather. The city thanks residents and businesses for their patience and understanding as this necessary repair is completed to ensure safe and reliable infrastructure for years to come. 9
