Cyclist in life-threatening condition after highway hit-and-run

A cyclist is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run collision on the Trans-Canada Highway on Monday evening.

According to an RCMP release, a westbound male cyclist was struck just east of Medicine Hat at about 9 p.m. The cyclist was left on the side of the road until a motorist found him and called 911.

The cyclist was rushed to hospital and later airlifted to Calgary.
