mcranker@medicinehatnews.com@MHNmocranker A plane crash that killed three people outside of Irvine this weekend is now being investigated by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada. News broke Sunday morning that Redcliff RCMP were looking for a small plane that was flying from Medicine Hat to Moose Jaw late Saturday. It was reported later on Sunday that all three people on the plane died in a crash. “There’s nothing really new right now,” said Transportation Safety Board of Canada spokesperson Eric Collard. “Our team arrived (Sunday) night to complete the initial assessment of the crash and they’re on-scene and continuing to work today collecting further data. “They’ll also be meeting with the RCMP to collect data from them – we’ll be interviewing people with any information and will be speaking with next of kin.” As of now there is no timeline for more information to be released. “It’s just too early in the process to tell right now,” said Collard. “It all depends on what we see and how we classify the scene.” Collard says most cases end with a public report being released. 10
