Medicine Hat police service adding to its constable numbers

By Medicine Hat News on March 12, 2019.

The Medicine Hat Police Service is looking to add some constables to the force.

Successful applicants will be sworn in as police cadets and commence 20 weeks of police recruit training at the MHPS starting on Jan. 6, 2020 and ending May 20, 2020.

The police cadet training program is accredited by Lethbridge College and will follow standards established by the Alberta Solicitor General’s office.

Upon successful completion of the cadet training program, cadets will be selected for immediate employment as an MHPS constable.

The remaining cadets will be shortlisted for consideration should openings arise over the next year.

Those interested in a career in law enforcement should visit mhps.ca/posts/post/42 for more information about this opportunity. Application deadline is May 10.
