Kenco Construction is the local home builder of the year, it was announced at a gala awards night on Friday.
The annual banquet for the local branch of Canadian Homebuilders Association was held at the Medicine Hat Lodge, where Kenco was also honoured for best estate home built in the two highest price categories, above $600,000 and above $800,000, and was named “greenest builder.”
Lansdowne Equity Ventures was named top developer for its work bringing on new phases of the Hamptons community last year.
Mulder Builders took the honour of top renovator, and captured two trophies in the category – those for projects budgeted lower than $100,000 and those above $200,000.
Best single-family home winners were Jayco (under $300,000), Lacey Homes (up to $400,000), Bosch Built (up to $500,000) and Brost Developments (up to $600,000).
Multi-family awards went to Jayco (projects under $250,000) and Newrock Developments (above $250,000).
Lacey won voting among members of the public that patronized the 2018 Parade of Homes.
Brost was doubly honoured for best kitchen and best ensuite.
Design Kitchens and Counterparts was awarded the safety leadership award and was named the top trade provider among large companies. The smaller trade award was taken by Affinity Plumbing and Gas Fitting.
Material suppliers of the year were Inland Concrete (structural) and Plygem, with service providers Advanced Energy Advisors and RBC Trevor and Nicole Anhel were also recognized.
