There will also be a performance by New Blood, a music and dance performance on Truth and Reconciliation of Indigenous people.
In addition to the speakers and performance, teachers will have the opportunity to choose from more than 100 sessions on various topics, such as curriculum, technology, classroom management, mental health and well-being, assessment and Indigenous history.
New this year is “Teachers Give Back,” a raffle for items donated by local businesses. Tickets will be purchased at the convention and all proceeds will go toward the Medicine Hat Be Youth Centre, SPEC in Brooks and Oyen’s Family Community Support Service.
The convention is open to teachers only.
