Public invited to attend SCAC annual general meeting

gslade@medicinehatnews.com@MHNGillianSlade The annual general meeting of the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee will take place Feb. 20 at 1:30 p.m. in the Veiner Centre and the public is welcome to attend. In addition to electing five people for the committee there will be a slideshow presentation about the official opening of the Veiner Centre and a celebration of the Inspirational Seniors Oral History Project. The guest speaker will be Ken Sauer who will share news about the upcoming Alberta 55+ Senior Games that will take place from July 4-7. The SCAC is participating in the planning and operation of the games. Five positions on SCAC are open for election. An informal meeting for those interested in serving on the committee will take place on Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. in the Veiner Centre. 6-5
