The deadline is near for filmmakers to apply for grants for Storyhive’s inaugural Indigenous Storyteller Edition.

A funding platform to support independent creators in Alberta and B.C., Storyhive will present 20 grants of $20,000 each for production support, training and mentorship and distribution support.

Following the application deadline on Dec. 4, an all-Indigenous jury will select the winners.

Beginning in late-January the successful applicants will work to a project between three and 10 minutes long. The projects, which can be comedy, drama, animation, web series pilot or documentary, will be featured on select Telus platforms in the fall of 2019.
