More than 30 people gathered at Kin Coulee Park Saturday afternoon with their pets to take part in the fourth annual Pet Walk held by the Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society and the Medicine Hat SPCA.
The event was held as part of Family Violence Prevention Month by the shelter and encouraged people to dress in purple with their animals to help raise awareness for the cause.
The shelter has held a number of events this month.
