Medicine Hat News The Lethbridge Police Service has issued an arrest warrant for an 18-year-old Brooks resident accused of tackling an officer from behind and attempting to steal their taser. Police were called Oct. 28 at about 1:30 p.m. to a large out-of-control party at Lethbridge’s La Cite Des Prairies after a fire extinguisher had been discharged in the event hall. The facility had been rented for a private Halloween party, where about 100-150 people ranging from ages 15 to 21 were consuming alcohol. Estimated damage to the building is $4,000. Upon arrival, the cops were greeted by a large crowd of intoxicated youths, some of whom were fighting. As the crowd dispersed, another fight broke out about a block south of the school, as an officer placed a subject under arrest. Peyton Thomas Kale Many Shots is alleged to have knocked the officer to the ground from behind, attempting to hold him down and take his taser from its holster. The officer was able to break free, sustaining minor injuries, but Many Shots allegedly escaped. He faces charges of assaulting, attempting to disarm and obstructing a peace officer. Anyone with information on Many Shots’ whereabouts is urged to contact LPS at 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Crime Stoppers is offering cash for information leading to an arrest.
