Thousands of Hatters passed through the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede’s Cypress Centre this weekend for the annual Great West Home and leisure Show.
“The event has been running all weekend and it’s going very well so far,” said tradeshow manager Chantelle Legault, who took the position over nearly three months ago. “We have a variety of things for people to do here and a wide variety of vendors.
“There’s over 200 vendors this year.”
On top of the vendors the event featured a kids’ area and a food alley.
“Those are always a big hit with everyone,” she said. “We’ve got some great local businesses in Food Alley and some really fun opportunities for the kids who come out to the show.”
Legault said Saturday that the event was seeing a lot of success.
“We had record numbers on Friday, which was seniors’ day,” she said. “We know 25 per cent of the vendors are new to the show.
“We estimate around 7-9,000 people will be coming to the show.”
