Handmade items were on display Saturday at the annual Fall Into Christmas Craft Show.

The event took place from Friday to Sunday at the Cypress Centre and showcased more than 100 vendors from across Canada — all selling handmade goods.

“It’s our 13th year here in Medicine Hat,” said organizer Jo-Anne Fahey. “This is all handmade products from all across Canada — there’s a great selection of items here and there’s pretty much everything.

“We’ve got food, jewelry, pottery — there’s something for everyone.”

Fahey says she does not know how many people would pass through the market over the three days but hoped it would be “a busy weekend.”

“Medicine Hat really loves the show, that’s why we always make the stop,” she said.

Fahey says supporting Canadian crafts people and artisans is important.

“That support for Canadians is something that we’re very passionate about,” she said. “People really do love it, too — you can see that with how crowded it is here.”

Fahey says it is never too early to start Christmas shopping.
