Woman airlifted to Calgary after Sunday collision

An 84-year-old woman had to be airlifted to a Calgary hospital after sustaining “serious injuries” in a collision at Saamis Rotary Way and Sierra Boulevard S.W., police say.
According to a Medicine Hat Police Service news release, emergency crews were called to the intersection at 11:27 a.m. Sunday.
A 1997 Chrysler Intrepid, operated by the elderly woman, was driving southbound on Saamis Rotary Way when it collided with a westbound 2007 Ford F150 which was being driven by a 37-year-old man.
The combined damage from the crash is pegged at $23,000.
