Adjournment granted for man facing several charges in both Medicine Hat and Lethbridge

By Jeremy Appel on August 1, 2018.

Medicine Hat News

A man who allegedly published indecent photos of a woman without her consent, and who faces six other criminal charges in Medicine Hat, is also facing charges in Lethbridge.

Justin Kleinsasser appeared in provincial court Tuesday facing charges of assault and publication of indecent material stemming from one incident, public mischief and hit and run from another, as well as two failures to appear in court and attempt to escape custody.

Defence lawyer Lyndon Heidinger requested adjournment to Aug. 9, because Kleinsasser was arrested on new charges in Lethbridge.

Heidinger is only representing the accused for his Medicine Hat charges.

The Crown alluded to Tuesday being Kleinsasser’s 38th appearance on the assault and publication of indecent material charges, but agreed with the proposed adjournment since Heidinger is new to the file.
