The words Stay in Medicine Hat have never been more relevant, but the local accommodation association is still making sure residents have a safe and fun way to escape the confines of their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stay in Medicine Hat recently launched the framework for a driving tour of the Gas City on its website, which covers the top-six landmarks in the area and encourages anyone interested to get out and explore the highlights of their community, as well as share their experiences on social media.

The tour takes drivers from the Saamis Tepee, to the other-worldly Red Rock Coulee, as well as the Ewart Duggan House – Alberta’s oldest brick residence – Police Point and Echo Dale parks and the nearly 112-year-old Finlay Bridge.

The website includes GPS co-ordinates for each landmark, as well as text and audio information detailing their histories. A printable map is also available at stayinmedicinehat.com.
