The Medicine Hat Symphonic Society has two nights of music coming up. On Nov. 29 the vocal concerto competition will take place at St. John’s Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. A release from the group says “the young vocalists in Medicine Hat will amaze you with the quality and variety of their performances.” On Dec. 2 a Medicine Hat Youth Orchestra concert will take place at the Medicine Hat College Eresman Theatre at 7:30 p.m. The ensemble will present “favourite classical pieces, mixed in with jigs and reels and maybe even a Christmas tune.” Guests the South Alberta Pipe and Drums will join the orchestra for a special piece. 4
