Legendary Canadian rocker Tom Cochrane is coming back to Medicine Hat.
Tom Cochrane with Red Rider will be at the Esplanade on March 19 for an 8 p.m. show.
Between 1979 and 1989 Cochrane and Red Rider released seven albums and hit singles such as “Big League,” “Victory Day” and “White Hot.” His biggest hit came as a solo artist with the release of “Life is a Highway,” off the 1991 “Mad Mad World” album.
Cochrane performed at the Canalta Centre in March 2017 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of that album.
Prior to that show, Cochrane recalled his Red Rider days in Medicine Hat.
“It seemed like back in the Red Rider days it kept us alive because we were there every second week in Alberta and it’s an incredibly supportive province,” he told the News. “I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad show in Medicine Hat, the crowds have been incredible and I expect the same this time.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. and will be available at tixx.ca, by calling 403-502-8777 or in person at the Esplanade box office or the Medicine Hat Mall customer service desk.
