Medicine Hat News The Medicine Hat Concert Band Society returns to the Esplanade this weekend for a show that has become a holiday tradition for not only the band but also many in the community. Conductor Bill Wahl and the Andante and Allegro Bands present Silent Night, Holy Night on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. More than 100 local musicians will celebrate the Christmas season and the sounds of winter. Among the favourites to be played are “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year” and “March of The Toys.” Each year Wahl and the bands like to invite other local performers to the stage as well. This year’s special guests include Donna Serr reading “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas,” husband and wife Ricardo and Andrea Gamero singing “Still, Still, Still” and Hanna Nickel singing “Grown-up Christmas List” and “O Come, All Ye Faithful (Adeste Fidelas.)” Ricardo will perform “Cantique De Noel O Holy Night” and “Ave Maria” with the Allegro Band while trumpet trio Mark Ward, Will Nickel and Cam Lockerbie perform “Roller Coaster,” a song about a wild ride on Santa’s sleigh.
