The Family Leisure Centre is staging a Halloween SPOOKtacular this Sunday from 1-4 p.m.

A number of special activities have been lined up to celebrate Halloween. Kids are urged to dress up in their best costumes, but to bring indoor footwear so they may take part in the gym and fieldhouse activities.

The following activities are included with the regular price of admission so those attending can go swimming too! (If a costume includes paint or makeup, it will have to be removed prior to entering the pool.)

The schedule:

1-2 p.m. — Public skating

1-4 p.m. —Halloween Games in the Sage Room

1-4 p.m. — Nerf Wars in the Fieldhouse

1-4 p.m. —Tot Time in the Gym 1 & 2

1-4 p.m. — Swimming

1:30 p.m. —Costume parade and judging in Gym 3 & 4

2-3 p.m. —Dodgeball in Gym 3 & 4

3-4 p.m. —Floor Hockey in Gym 3 & 4

All participants from toddlers to adults are welcome to take part in the costume parade. Judging will be done by local celebrities including the Medicine Hat College Rattlers and others.

Prizes will be awarded for: best animal; cutest costume; spookiest costume; best recreation-themed costume (think Richard Simmons); and silliest costume.
