Canadian music superstar Burton Cummings is returning to the Esplanade this fall. Cummings brings his Up Close and Alone tour to the Gas City on Oct. 27. His list of hits reads like a best-of of Canadian music hits with such radio staples as “These Eyes,” “American Woman” and “Clap For the Wolfman” all in the back pocket of the man who was the lead singer of the Guess Who before a successful solo career. Cummings, who played at the Esplanade in July 2014, has more than 80 gold or platinum record awards along with six Juno Awards and has been inducted into multiple music halls of fame in Canada. Tickets go on sale on Friday and will be available online at http://www.tixx.ca, by calling 403-502-8777, and in person at the Esplanade box office or the Medicine Hat Mall customer service desk. 6
