1. What is the biggest challenge(s) facing Redcliff into the next four years, and what is your vision for how the town should approach it?

I believe lack of economic development is one of our biggest challenges. We have not seen much growth over the past few years and I would like to work towards changing that.

2. What is your vision for economic development in Redcliff, and how would you suggest the town work to achieve that?

This is a tricky issue to tackle though as there are a lot of contributing factors to that. I would love an opportunity to keep working on trying to attract new residential and commercial growth. We are slated to have a new school built in the next couple of years which I believe could definitely help with that.

3. What are the top three, in your opinion, infrastructure needs in Redcliff, and how would you approach seeing those to fruition?

I think our largest need is keeping up with our aging underground infrastructure right now. It is very expensive to replace water and sewer pipes and the town has limited resources. Redundancy in our water plant I believe is also very important. Currently we have only one pipe bringing in water from the river and that pipe is getting old. It currently is working fine however if it were to fail it would not allow us to make our own water and it is a long regulatory approval process to get permission to start digging in the river. We have started the process of looking into a secondary intake and I would like to see that completed in the next four years. Thirdly expansion to our infrastructure over in east side is something I would like see. As mentioned before I am hoping to see development as a result of our new school site and I would like to see us ahead of the curve so that we have the infrastructure ready for growth should it happen.
