.”Cuddle Time” with the Waterton cabin’s “Favorite Storyteller”
Leslie Mary Beny – passed away December 11, 2014 in Victoria, B.C.
A very precious soul, whose heart was so full of love for her family….
I’m Gone……
I’ve come to the end of my journey
and I’ve travelled my last weary mile,
Forget if you can, that I ever suffered
And remember only my Smile.

Forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
But in summer just gather some
“Purple Carnations”
and place them where I will lay.

And come in the evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west,
Stand for a few moments beside me
and remember only my best….

Moms, 15 grandkids, 21 great grandkids and their parents will gather in the summer for her final farewell.

.A week ago today, family and friends gathered in Cook’s Chapel to bid farewell to a wonderful man, Ray Person. His family truly honoured his life in personalizing the service… Life Celebrant Getz led the congregation and paid tribute to a man who was a friend to all he met… A video tribute of photos from days past captured his memory while the song, “Candle In The Wind” softly played in the background… Ray’s time spent over countless cups of Tim Hortons coffee while visiting with many of his friends, gave true meaning to the life he treasured most… in the fellowship that followed – family and friends shared in one last cup of Tim Hortons coffee in Ray’s memory.
Our hearts ache with sadness
And secret tears do flow;
And what it meant to lose you
No one will ever know.
His Life Lived…
His Life Cherished…
His Life Honoured.

.This past Monday, many family and friends gathered at Holy Family Parish to celebrate the life of Ralph Hertz, who passed away one day shy of his 84th birthday. Father Philp Le expressed the joy in Ralph’s love of farming including raising and supporting his family on the farm throughout his life… the choir led in some of Ralph’s favorite hymns which were sung by the congregation… Immediately following the interment at Hilliside Cemetery, everyone enjoyed fellowship back in the Parish Hall.
God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be,
He put his arm around you
And whispered, “Come to me!”
His Life Lived…
His Life Cherished…
His Life Honoured.

.ROSS DODD
1949 ~ 2014
James Ross Dodd passed away in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at the age of 65 years. Ross was born August 7, 1949 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and spent some of his childhood in eastern Canada near Halifax. In 1954, he moved with his mother, Mildred, to Toronto. In his youth, Ross became involved with Scouts Canada and later Air Cadets. These organizations provided many opportunities for him and he met each adventure with enthusiasm. At a young age, his parents parted and his mother would later introduce him to the man that would become his father and husband to Mildred. In 1965, Basil adopted Ross as his own and the family was official. In his adulthood, he travelled extensively and learned the culinary arts. He became an excellent chef and was employed with many high quality restaurants. Since 2001, he had resided in Medicine Hat where he most recently worked at the 3rd Street Market. Ross was a free spirit – a true hippie of his time. He had an extensive collection of records and tapes and was a huge fan of Pink Floyd. Ross was once a “roadie” with Pink Floyd and earned the respect of the band and had unlimited access and privileges – this was the essence of his life! Ross will be deeply missed by his father, Basil Dodd; brother, Howard Dodd (Cindy Meade); nieces, Victoria Dodd and Charlize Meade; nephews, Daniel Spiegel and Taylor (Dana) Meade as well as extended family in England. Ross was predeceased by his mother, Mildred in 2004.
