Upcoming nature walk will put focus on the signs of spring

With spring in full swing, Hatters are invited to Police Point Park to search for signs of the season with the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program.

“Spring season is a delight for bird lovers in the city! Come down to Police Point Park for a nature walk as we search for signs of spring,” said park interpreter Erika Derman. “We will be looking and listening for returning migratory birds, budding trees and emerging insects like caterpillars and bees.”

Those participating need only meet with interpreters at the Nature Centre at 1 p.m. on Apr. 12, with no cost or registration required to take part.

As this program will take place outside, attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather and to bring binoculars to help spot the various signs of the changing season.
