MHIP to focus nature walk on beaks and bills of local birds

By medicinehatnews on March 28, 2026.

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is diving into the mysteries of beaks and bills with its latest educational program.

“Ever wondered why a beak is shaped the way it is? Come and discover! We’ll chat about their unique shapes, the important roles they play and how they help our feathered friends,” says park interpreter Rhys Mah Poy.

This nature walk is free to attend and requires no registration to participate. Those interested need only show up to the Nature Centre on Apr. 10 at 1 p.m. As this program will take place outside, participants are asked to dress for the weather.
