Medicine Hat News Call the fire department, the Medicine Hat Tigers and Edmonton Oil Kings burned Rogers Place down Tuesday night. The Tigers scored six straight goals, five in the third period, as they overcame a pair of two-goal leads en route to a 10-6 win. Noah Davidson tallied his first career WHL hat trick, Ethan Neutens had a pair of goals and assists for a four-point night. Markus Ruck finished with a goal and four assists. Edmonton led 2-1 after the first period, Davidson scored his first of the night on a power play. The second period saw Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll, Liam, Markus Ruck and Neutens all score as they still trailed 6-5 after 40 minutes. Starter Jordan Switzer was lifted in the second, making 12 saves on 17 shots. Carter Casey picked up the win, stopping eight shots in relief. The Tigers’ third period barrage started with a Kade Stengrim rush goal to tie the game 2:18 into the frame. Bryce Pickford scored on a power play, Davidson batted a puck out of the air, Neutens scored on an Oil King turnover and Davidson secured the hat trick with a power play tip off a Pickford pass. The Tigers were without three of their main defencemen in Jonas Woo, Niilopekka Muhonen and Veeti Väisänen. Woo was serving the first of a three-game suspension and both Muhonen (upperr-body injury) and Väisänen (lower-body injury) are out day to day. The win Tuesday secures back-to-back 40-win seasons for the Tigers, who are in Calgary on Friday before hosting them Saturday. 12
