ATB hosting free webinar on frauds and cybercrime

Next week ATB is hosting a free online workshop that will teach participants strategies to help protect their wealth as cybercrimes and frauds are becoming more prevalent in the online world.

The webinar titled “Protecting your Wealth from Fraud and Cybercrime” will be hosted by Aisha Kitchlew, senior manager of fraud and cybercrime with ATB Financial, who will provide practical and high-impact strategies to keep accounts away from fraudsters.

“In a time where technology is seamlessly integrated into our financial lives, staying one stay ahead of sophisticated cyber threats is more important than ever,” reads an overview.

The free webinar starts Feb. 26 at noon; residents are able to register for the workshop by visiting the Southeast Chamber of Commerce website.

Next month is Fraud Prevention Month across Alberta. Local police will ramp up efforts to spread public awareness around scams and frauds that have caused residents in Medicine Hat to lose more than $4 million in 2025.
