The Medicine Hat Boxing Club was represented at an interprovincial tournament last weekend.

The local club sent three fighters, Nate Vossler, Quincy McComeau and Jacob Walne to the event in Cochrane.

On Feb. 14, Walne defeated Jack Dool from Team B.C. and the next day he defeated Tristan Kuller, also from Team B.C., in the 60 kg open Junior division.

McComeau, fighting in the 65 kg. Elite Open division, defeated Cesar Medina from Team Alberta on Feb. 14 and defeated Franz Soriano, also from Team Alberta, the next day.

Vossler lost to Lachlan Bourgeois from Team B.C. on Feb. 14 by split decision. The next day he lost another split to Damir Kudosov from Team Manitoba, a tough fight and unpopular decision against a strong experienced opponent, coach Kerry Fahlman says.

This weekend the Medicine Hat Boxing Club is in spruce Grove for the Junior and youth provincials.
