The Spring 2026 Community Grant Cycle is officially open and Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta invites organizations to come and pitch their projects.

Registered charities, municipalities, educational institutions and qualifying Alberta non-profit societies may submit applications, for which CFSEA staff are available to help with navigating the process.

“In the most recent fiscal year, CFSEA distributed more than $1.77 million in grants to 171 organizations across southeastern Alberta,” a statement from CFSEA reads. “This included over $460,000 in Community Grants supporting local initiatives that strengthen belonging, address basic needs, and improve quality of life throughout the region.”

All applications must serve Medicine Hat, Redcliff, Brooks and district, County of Newell Special Areas 2, 3 and 4, the MD of Acadia, Cypress County or County of Forty Mile. Additionally, initiatives that support CFSEA’s current areas of focus – work and economy, connection and belonging and meeting basic needs – will be prioritized, though all applications are welcome.

Those interested are asked to submit a letter of intent by Mar. 4, with the full application deadline set for Mar. 16 at noon.

Organizations with relevant initiatives can apply online or learn more about the process at cfsea.ca/community-grants.
