Smith to attend economic forum in Brooks on Monday

The premier will return to her riding Monday to participate in the “Palliser Economic Partnership: Conversation with the honourable MLA Danielle Smith” on Monday evening at the Heritage Inn Hotel in Brooks.

Smith has been named guest of honour for the event and fundraiser, which aims to discuss economic development, agriculture, workforce sustainability and long-term community vitality, and will include a buffet dinner, dessert and coffee and tea.

There will also be a silent auction that will support the Vet Med Scholarship Fund and future Palliser Economic Partnership initiatives.

Municipal and business leaders as well as ag producers and regional partners have been invited to the dinner and fundraising event.

Doors open for the event at 5:30 Monday at the Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with the program following at 7 p.m.
