newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com The Alberta Chambers of Commerce is offering a four-part series of webinars aimed at business leaders and entrepreneurs. The Leadership Webinar Series begins Feb. 11 with an hour-long workshop titled “Work Smarter, Not Harder.” This webinar will cover identifying team behaviours and applying counter-intuitive strategies that can be used in the workplace, and will be presented by Wendy Schneider with the organization Unstoppable Conversations. The next webinar will be held Feb. 25 and is titled “The R.O.I. of Talent Attraction & Retention,” focusing on workforce decisions to financial performance, costs of turnover, vacancies and disengagement and how to invest in youth talent to drive growth. This hour-long webinar will be presented by two speakers, Eddy Atausi with Noble Consulting and Angela Nguyen who specializes in leadership development, change management and strategic partnerships. In March the series will continue with the third instalment called “Plain Language, Safer Workplaces.” This webinar, held Mar. 4, will draw from real-world examples within Canadian workplaces and provide participants with practical tools they can apply to safety documents, training materials and day-to-day communication with their team. Tamera Jorgic, executive director of AWES, and Leila Samahnejad, business development and project lead of AWES will be speaking in this workshop. The webinar series wraps up Mar. 18 with “Communicating with Impact in Everyday Conversations.” This workshop will cover practical approaches to increasing effectiveness in conversations with employees and strategies for leading “difficult conversations” with professionalism and respect. Michael Snyder, present of Future Focus Inc., will be speaking during this workshop.
