Alexandra Middle School hosting student showcase

In February, Alexandra Middle Schools will host an open-house event to showcase learning opportunities and clubs it offers for new students planning to attend in the fall.

The AMS New Student Showcase is planned from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 4, welcoming new students and their families to the school and providing information on academic programming, clubs and sports offered to students, as well as meeting teachers and staff members.

The evening will include a hands-on workshop showcasing the school’s art studio, gym, construction shop, food kitchen, STEM laboratory and its student council.

“Teens get a taste of AMS life, through new connections, hands-on experiences and a whole lot of fun,” reads a release.

Both families and future students are invited to drop by between 6 and 7 p.m. and stay as long as they would like if they cannot stay the entire two hours. Guests will also be served hotdogs and drinks.
