Minor Hockey Roundup: U13AA Hounds win lone game on weekend slate

The Medicine Hat U13AA Hounds took care of business on the road this weekend.

The Hounds blanked the Golden Suns 5-0 Saturday.

Cohen McLaren had a hat trick in the win, Max Chisholm had a goal and an assist and Noah Krein found the back of the net. Treyson Donnelly stopped all 26 shots he faced for the shutout win.

The U13AA Hounds (5-10-0-0-5) are on the road Saturday before hosting the Bow Valley Timberwolves on Sunday for a 1 p.m. contest at the Kinplex.

U15

The U15AAA South East Tigers lost a pair of home games over the weekend, falling 8-1 Saturday to the Calgary Bisons and 7-1 Sunday to the KC Squires.

Ryden Perrault had the lone goal Friday, Hunter Knoll made 31 saves.

Jhett Stober scored in Saturday’s loss, Hunter Munro made 36 saves.

The U15AAA SE Tigers (1-19) play tonight in Lethbridge against the Golden Hawks before a pair of road games this weekend.

The U15AA Hounds lost both of their home games, falling 4-1 Saturday to the Airdrie Lightning and 8-4 Sunday to the Foothills Bisons.

Lennox Brown scored in the loss Saturday, Colson Neigum made 35 saves.

They had four goal scorers Saturday, Kiptyn Head, Jacob Cartwright, Brody Eresman and Hunter Kustra each scored, Tarik Omerovic and Kane Tuchscherer each had two assists. Neigum made 38 saves.

The U15AA Hounds (5-17-0-0-2) have a pair of games on the road this weekend.

U16

The U16AA Hounds lost their only weekend game, falling 4-3 on the road Saturday to the Okotoks Oilers.

Beckham Girletz, Liam Jaspers and Maddox Mikkelson each scored and Bryden Tschritter made 35 saves.

The next scheduled AEHL game for the U16AA Hounds (7-13-0-0-1) is Jan. 24 and 25, the second game at the Kinplex against the Wheatland Warriors.

U17

The U17AAA SE Tigers had a pair of home games this weekend against the Red Deer Chiefs, they lost 4-2 Saturday and 3-2 Sunday.

Rhyder Arnold and Finn Willerton each scored, Griffin Stenger made 41 saves in the loss Saturday.

Illya Khzov had a goal and an assist, Arnold had a goal and Dane Friedt had two assists. Jake Druar had 26 saves.

The U17AAA SE Tigers (5-13-0-0-3) are on the road this weekend.

U18

The U18AA Hounds had just one game this weekend, falling 7-4 on the road Saturday to the Lethbridge Hounds.

Jaxon Benci and Ethan Hall each had a goal and an assist, Nixon Kunkel and Brody Dick each scored, Hudson Corbett made 40 saves.

The U18AA Hounds (8-12-0-0-3) are on the road for a pair of games.
