MHIP’s Watershed Wednesdays returns Jan. 7 with walk on local tributaries

Continuing a series on the local watershed, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program invites residents to learn a little more about the city’s waterways.

The third installation in the Watershed Wednesdays program, this nature walk is themed around Major Tributaries.

Participants will join the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program and the Society of Grasslands Naturalists at 11a.m. on Jan. 7 in Strathcona Island Park to explore the confluence of two local creeks, discussing their origins and how they support the South Saskatchewan River watershed.

The program will meet at the Heritage Pavilion parking lot. There is no registration required or cost associated with the walk, but those interested are asked to please dress for the weather.
