The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta gave out $568,052 to charities and organizations through its Fall 2025 granting cycle, celebrated at the annual Chair’s Reception.
A total of $199,877 was awarded through CFSEA’s Community Grants program, $118,156 of which was directed to charities in Medicine Hat and Redcliff.
“Community Grants reflect the generosity of donors who entrust us to direct funding where it’s needed most,” said grant committee chair Jesse Prince. “Our committee carefully reviewed applications from across the region, prioritizing impact, alignment with local needs and our Vital Signs focus areas. We are honoured to support organizations that are working every day to strengthen our communities.”
Donors, volunteers, community partners and grant recipients gathered to celebrate the impact of local philanthropy at the 26th annual Chair’s Reception on Thursday, where Medicine Hat and Redcliff Community Grant recipients also received their grants.
Rural recipients were recognized at their own local events.
These grants are made possible through Field of Interest Funds and donations directed to CFSEA’s Community Grants Fund, which supports the greatest needs across the region. CFSEA also distributed funding through donor-advised funds, designated funds, agency funds and student scholarships, all of which contributed to the overall $568,052.
