Winners announced from WIB’s pitch competition

Women in Business Medicine Hat has announced winners from the Business Expo, Market and Tradeshow and Pitch Competition.

The event was held Oct. 25 at the Stampede auditorium and was adjudicated by APEX Regional Innovation Network of Southeast Alberta’s Tracy Stroud, executive director of the Root Cellar Melissa Mullis and Root Cellar board member Pam.

WIB thanks them as well as event sponsors for supporting the next generation of female entrepreneurs.

Jade of Pure By Jade was awarded first place, Daenerys of Happy Penguin Bath Creations was awarded second and the sibling team Harlow and Peyton of Sugar & Smiles earned third. Winners divided $450 in prize money on the strength of their products and clarity of their pitches.
