Discover the region’s altered landscape on upcoming nature walk

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is looking to celebrate the less-than-natural landscape of the city with its latest nature walk.

“Our landscape is natural, right? Everything is native, natural and belonging to our ecosystem which has looked like this forever? Well, things may not be as they appear,” said Mhairi Donnelly. “Join this guided walk to discover how the European settlement of the prairies has altered, and continues to alter the landscape around us.”

The walk will begin on the path to the side of River Dental on Dec. 3, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Those interested do not need to register in order to attend and no payment is required.

This program is made possible through a grant from the Land Stewardship Centre of Canada.
