The Medicine Hat Tigers will have another representative on the CHL roster for next week’s 2025 CHL USA Prospects Challenge.
Head coach Willie Desjardins will get to coach forward Liam Ruck at the two-game set as the Tigers’s forward was added to the CHL’s roster in place of an injured Brooks Rogowski of the Oshawa Generals.
Ruck is averaging a point per game this season with seven gaols and 21 points in 21 games. He was just named the WHL’s player of the week after tallying three goals and six points in two games this weekend.
The 17-year-old product of Osoyoos, B.C. was one of five WHL forwards, alongside twin brother Markus, to have earned a “B” rating on NHL Central Scouting’s preliminary players to watch list.
The 2025 CHL USA Prospects Challenge is a best-on-best, two-game series spotlighting the top NHL Draft-eligible players from the WHL, OHL and QMJHL facing off against the U.S. National Under-18 Team. The two games will be held Nov. 25 and 26 in Calgary and Lethbridge respectively. Puck drop for both games is 6 p.m. MST.
