Medicine Hat’s youth are invited to the start of a new series with the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program, Watershed Explorers. The first offering in this series, “Discovering Our Watershed,” will take place Nov. 23, starting at 2 p.m. Aimed at children aged 6-12, the series will cover a different aspect of the watershed every first and fourth Sunday of the month for a total of six programs. Each entry will cover a different aspect of the watershed, starting with a guided walk through Police Point Park, where participants will take a closer look at our local watershed, what defines it and the diversity of life it supports. Participants will also earn a different badge for attending each program and will win a prize for collecting all 6. These programs are made possible in part thanks to the Land Stewardship Centre of Canada. While this program is free to attend, it does require registration as space is limited. Those interested are asked to call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225 to secure their space. Youths must be accompanied by an adult. 7
