The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is heading back to the basics of birdwatching with its newest crash course offering.

“Join a park interpreter as we unravel the secrets of birdwatching in Police Point Park,” said park interpreter Erika Derman. “We will be learning about why this park draws in so many unique birds, and the most common types that we see.”

Those interested in participating do not need to pay a fee or register to attend, but they are asked to bring their own binoculars for best results while looking for birds. The program will meet at 1 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the Nature Centre in Police Point Park.

For more information on this or any other program, those interested are encouraged to call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225, visit natureline.info or MHIP’s Facebook page, policepointpark.
