JO-ANNE SHANNON May 2nd, 1968 October 11th, 2025 Jo-Anne Shannon passed away on October 11th, 2025, at the age of 57 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Dora Drist; children, James (Amanda) Gorko, Sarra (Brendan) Fraser, Jenna Gorko (Tim Langille) and Riley Robinson; grandchildren, Emma Gorko, Silas Gorko, Max Gorko, Luke Abaya, Maeve Fraser, Jack Fraser, Raina Langille and Roman Langille; brother, Don Allison. Jo-Anne was predeceased by her father, Gerald Drist; brother, Michael Drist.

1947 ~ BEVERLY GIROUX ~ 2025 Beverly Giroux of Medicine Hat, AB passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2025, at the age of 78 years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory children, Dyan Galloway (Arthur McDermott), Joelle Scherer (Derek Wilcox), Jeffrey (Dena) Scherer, and Jordon (Dana) Scherer; grandchildren, Nikole (Sam) Menard, Raegan Scherer (Kyle) and Shae-Lynn Scherer (Nathan), Max Scherer, Linden Scherer (Ardita), Lincoln Scherer (Kylie), Jaron Gackle and Jevon Gackle; great-grandchildren, Jade Menard and Jasmine Menard, Kolt Bachmier; sisters, Marj Pavolich, Donna (Greg) Campbell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Blanche Giroux; sisters, Carole White, Doreen Tracey, and Arlene Blackmer. Bev will be deeply and sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. BERNHARD HEIZELMAN 1929 ~ 2025 Bernhard “Ben” Heizelman, beloved husband of Evelyn Heizelman of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the age of 96 years. He also leaves to cherish his memory two children, Earl (Dixie) Heizelman and Ron (Nadine) Heizelman; three grandchildren, Corey (Stephanie) Wick, Justin Wick (Shanna), and Kalle (Ryan) Kingsley; six great grandchildren, Madilyn, Camryn, Ethan, Albert, Andrew, and Jackson. Ben was predeceased by his parents, John and Christina Heizelman; four brothers, Richard, Edwin, Emil, and Tom; five sisters, Bertha, Ruth, Laura, Elsie, and Martha. Ben was born February 12, 1929, and raised in the Golden Prairie District on the family homestead. He later moved to Medicine Hat where he met and married Evelyn on December 5, 1953. Ben started working part-time for the City of Medicine Hat and after years of hard work and dedication, Ben eventually retired in 1984 from his position of foreman for the Asphalt Plant. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Good Sam’s for their excellent care over the years. The celebration of Ben’s life will take place in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Pat Grisonich officiating. Friends and family who wish to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to the service. The service will be live streamed.
