EDMUND HOPPER
EDMUND HOPPER 1935 ~ 2025 Edmund “Ed” Charles Hopper of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Georgina Hopper, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 90 years. He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Randy (Cheryl) Hopper and Mark (Theresa) Hopper; his loving companion Phyllis Schneider and her daughter Debbie (Steve) Phaff; five grandchildren, Jared (Taylor) Hopper and their children, Maverick and Waylon, Brandon (Chelby Carpenter) Hopper and their son Rhett, Robyn (Ben) Worthington, Stephanie Hopper and Paige (Tristan Huel) Hopper; two brothers, Dennis Hopper, Ken (Julie) Hopper; one brother-in-law, Stan Antos; one sister, Ann Ambrose; one sister-in-law, Donna Sawyer. He was predeceased by his wife, Georgina Hopper on May 11, 2019; two brothers-in-law, Bob Ambrose and Innes Sawyer; two sisters-in-law; Lorraine Hopper and Marilyn Antos. He was born on August 15, 1935, in Bentley, Alberta to Charles and Ann Hopper. On November 7, 1956, Ed and Gena were married and had a wonderful life together for 62 years. They made a loving home wherever they lived, numerous cities including Sherwood Park, Red Deer, Calgary, Lethbridge, Winnipeg and Grande Prairie as well as numerous small towns in the prairies. Ed spent 45 years at B.M.O and was involved in numerous organizations such as Rotary, Shriners, and community boards in the various places he lived over the years. The family cabin at Clear Lake was an important place for both Ed and Gena. The celebration of Ed’s life will take place in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Pat Grisonich officiating.
