newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com Marshall Kilcup, 24, from Medicine Hat, faces a list of charges after being found in violation of a court-imposted curfew while in possession of a semi-automatic rifle and controlled substances. Police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle on Saturday morning at 5:30 a.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street SE and discovered Kilcup, who was found to be in violation of a court-imposed 24-hour curfew and was arrested. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of an undisclosed amount of controlled substances and a GSG semi-automatic .22 caliber rifle. As a result, Kilcup has been charged with careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm, knowing possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm in a vehicle, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of failure to comply with a release order. Kilcip was held for judicial interim release hearing and has been remanded into custody. Kilcup is scheduled to appear before the courts today. Two charged with B & E A 50-year-old female and 51-year-old female, both from Medicine Hat, have been charged after police discovered the two females in possession of stolen tools inside a construction site compound. Early Saturday morning, at 4:30 a.m. police responded to a report of suspicious activity near the 3000 block of Dunmore Road after two females were seen climbing a fence to enter a construction site compound. Responding police caught both females red-handed inside the compound in possession of tools identified as stolen from the site and were arrested. Both have been charged with break and enter to commit theft, and their first court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 25. 12
