Full day of advance polls available Saturday

Medicine Hat residents have their first chance to vote this weekend with advance polling.

Polls are open today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hockey Hounds Recreation Centre at 39 10th Street NE, and Holy Family Parish at 1451 Strachan Rd.

Further opportunities to vote will be at the same locations from Oct. 14-18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The city released a news post stating that those who have indicated they are unable to pick up their special ballots in person will still receive their special ballot packages via courier, but have asked those who are able to do so to switch their delivery method to ‘pick up’ from the Elections Office.

This can be done by emailing election@medicinehat.ca or calling 403-529-8221. They remind voters that they are responsible for ensuring their completed Special Ballot arrives at the Elections Office no later than 8 p.m. on Oct. 20.
