The Alberta Association of Nurses has launched a no-cost student membership.

The membership will be available to all entry-to-practice Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse and Registered Psychiatric Nurse students across the province.

The initiative is designed to foster community and promote career-enhancing opportunities for early career nurses.

“As nurses, we know how important it is to have a strong professional network, access to resources, and a voice in shaping the future of our profession,” said Kathy Howe, CEO of AAN. “By removing financial barriers, we are ensuring that every nursing student in Alberta can benefit from these opportunities from the very start of their careers.”

The no-cost membership grants nursing students access to networking opportunities, career development resources and savings on select home and auto insurance plans.

The membership will remain free of cost for the duration of a student’s education.
