City council announced the official termination of city manager Ann Mitchell, though the former CAO will remain on paid leave for now.
During new business at Monday’s council meeting, Coun. Andy McGrogan raised a motion that notice of termination in writing be presented to Mitchell, who was placed on temporary leave July 28.
Council met Sept. 22 for a special council meeting that to discuss personnel matters. They called a second special meeting on Sept. 25 to discuss policy planning matters. Both meetings were in closed, confidential sessions.
All present councillors approved the motion, Coun. Ramona Robbins voted against the motion via video conference.
